‘I’ve been looking at spinal X-rays 3-5 days a week for 20 years.’ Here’s the under-$2K mattress one of America’s top chiropractors sleeps on himself
Miami-based chiropractor Dr. Jason Worrall has over two decades of experience helping everyone from pro athletes – here he is with Serena Williams and Dwayne Wade, among others – to everyday people. “I’ve been looking at spinal X-rays three to five days a week for 20 years,” says Worrall.
One major issue he’s noticed with his patients? Their mattresses. “About half of my patients don’t sleep well or are unhappy with their mattress,” says Worrall, who runs Rejuve Wellness. For his part, he recommends a medium-firm mattress. “We’ve all heard of the person who threw their back out and slept on the floor and felt great. When the spine is out of alignment or it’s torqued or tweaked, your ligaments are stretched and strained and damaged. The floor is as flat and hard as it gets and does the job of your spinal ligaments. When the mattress is firm, it supports,” he says.
